About me

During my years of dancing I have gained a lot of experience, knowledge and ideas which have helped with my skills in teaching and choreographing.

My name is Anna Knowles, I am a fully A.I.S.T.D Disco Freestyle and ISTD D.D.I + D.D.E Diploma in Dance Education and a certified Acrobatic Arts teacher/choreographer. 
I work for one of the largest companies in the UK for 'First Dance' choreography as well as in house, and am Co-Principal for one of the most successful Academy's on the South Coast. 

My working experience

I have also been trained in Ballroom and Latin, I've qualified for the championships in Blackpool on many occasions.

After finishing my time as a junior associate at the Urdang Academy in London, I have been fortunate enough to dance with the likes of Diversity (twice), Wayne Sleep, Tim Noble (Kylie Minogue’s head dancer and choreographer) and many more.

I have danced in many big shows in many famous theatre's, such as the European Ballet, 'Class Talent' at The London Palladium, ‘Bobby Dazzler’ at Saddler’s Wells in London, shows held at the Pavilion Bournemouth and the Poole Lighthouse, danced at Her Majesty’s Theatre in London, where they hold the Phantom Of The Opera and danced at Disneyland Paris.

I now teach for a well established and very successful dance academy and thrive on results. I teach genres right across the board such as Ballet, Tap, Modern/Jazz and Street but specialise in Disco Freestyle and Rock ‘n’ Roll and Acrobatics.
My trainees and choreographed routines have proved most successful as 99% of our Academy qualify for the All England Disco Championship Finals virtually every year.

Choreographing specialist routines provides me with such a buzz when I see the end result after all the time, effort and hard work spent along the way.
